She is also a founder and organizer of the Durango Independent Film Festival. The first movie she saw at the drive-in was \u201cButch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malach\u2019s presentation will focus on a few particular myths of the West, and how American cinema has contributed to the creation and perpetuation \u2013 and sometimes, the deconstruction \u2013 of those myths.<\/p>\n<p>All summertime lectures are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on specific Wednesdays and are free to the public.
