Polls at the Towaoc Community Center are open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Hayes and Juanita Plentyholes currently hold the tribal council seats up for election. Hayes isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seeking re-election. Hoping to retain her post, Plentyholes will face challengers Marissa Box, Rudy Hammond, Ulysses Lang, Conrad Jacket, Emeline Casey, Bradley Hight, Christine Lehi and Davis Wing.<\/p>\n<p>Tribal council candidates must be 25 or older and be a permanent resident of the Ute Mountain Ute voting precinct. Convicted felons are ineligible for office.<\/p>\n<p>Required to submit a letter of interest to Chairman Manuel Heart, candidates also paid a non-refundable $200 filing fee.
