Another heavy snowstorm is brewing. (Storms were news because the roads were wagon tracks and a heavy storm could make the mud so clingy that wagons couldn\u2019t travel in and into town.)<\/p>\n

This has been the coldest week of the season so far. (Quite often the coldest week has been between Christmas and New Year\u2019s.)<\/p>\n

On Dec. 23, in this village was born a son to the wife of H.M. Sprague.<\/p>\n

On Dec. 24, Mancos has been incorporated with George Bauer as mayor and the trustees are Charles Kelly, Dave Lemmon, L.M. Armstrong, Henry Cadwell, H.M. Sprague, and Harry Ausburn. George Carr will be acting as the clerk of the newly incorporated town.<\/p>\n
