Montezuma County\u2019s housing market continues to strengthen, according to the latest figures from the Colorado Real Estate Network.<\/p>\n
Countywide, there were 39 home sales during August, up 69 percent from 2014.<\/p>\n
The median sales price was $190,000, up from $155,000 during the same period last year.<\/p>\n
The average sales price countywide was $191,186, up from the 2014 price of $162,030.<\/p>\n
Inventory of homes for sale in August was 335, a nearly 25 percent decrease from last year.<\/p>\n
In Cortez, there were 23 sold listings in August, at a median sales price of $177,250, up from the August 2014 median sales price of $145,000.<\/p>\n
The average price of homes sold in August was $176,815, up 32 percent from 2014.<\/p>\n
While sold listings in Mancos wasn\u2019t that much higher than last year\u2019s \u2013 six compared with four in 2014 \u2013 the median sales price was $203,500, and the average sales price was up 21 percent from 2014. The average August sales price in Mancos was $214,667, a 21 percent increase from last year.<\/p>\n
Prices in Dolores, however, are on the down trend: The median sales price was $150,000, and the average sales price was $202,643, down 43.4 and 11.5 percent from this time last year.<\/p>\n
Much like the rest of the county, inventory in Dolores is slowly shrinking, with 90 homes on the market in Dolores compared with 106 last year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
