For the first time in its 11-year history, the Montezuma Titans football organization will send two teams to the Young American Football League Super Bowl.<\/p>\n
The Titans\u2019 fourth- and fifth-grade teams cruised through the playoffs and will compete for the championship on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Navajo Prep in Farmington, NM.<\/p>\n
The teams are composed of players from Cortez and Dolores, and they faced teams from Bloomfield, Aztec, Shiprock, Farmington, Kirtland and Pagosa Springs in the league.<\/p>\n
Jarrod Wyatt is the head coach of the 9-1 fourth-grade team, which kicks off on Saturday at noon.<\/p>\n
The fifth-grade team, led by Montezuma-Cortez High School principal Dr. Jason Waymon, enters the final game with a 7-2 record and will play at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
