Coleman\u2019s development firm purchased the two-acre tract of land two years ago, and he said it\u2019s been interesting to see the area grow. The addition of the roughly $32 million new Montezuma-Cortez High School campus has definitely been a boon, he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the fact that it\u2019s new construction (is part of the interest), but the other big appeal is the location. We\u2019re right there between Walmart, the stri pmall, Walgreen\u2019s and the new high school. It has to be the most sought-after location in town. One reason we bought the land two years ago and developed it was the location \u2014 and that was two years ago, before the high school was even an idea.\u201d<\/p>\n
There is room on the company\u2019s parcel for two more similar buildings, Coleman said, and the company\u2019s hope is that a chain restaurant snap up one of them.<\/p>\n
