On Friday, Montezuma-Cortez senior Kiselya Plewe signed a letter of intent to play golf for Weber State University.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always been a dream of mine,\u201d Plewe said. \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to play Division 1 golf. It was always my goal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plewe first visited the school in Ogden, Utah, last year, and although she had interest in a few other schools, she eventually decided on Weber State.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe girls and the coach at this school are awesome, and I really like the environment there, and I love the town it\u2019s in,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was just the perfect fit for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before she heads out to college in the fall of 2016, Plewe has one final season of high school golf with the Dolores golf team.<\/p>\n

And after finishing 11th, tied for sixth and fourth in the past three state tournaments, she wants to go out on top.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to win state,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve been trying to for the past couple of years now, and I\u2019ve been really close. But I just need to put two good rounds together and finish that one.\u201d<\/p>\n
