Nonprofit organizations across Southwest Colorado interested in obtaining a Ballantine Family Fund grant are invited to attend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ballantine Family Fund trustees hope that the new application will be less time-consuming to complete and improve the information tracking process for the grants managers,\u201d said Paige Elliott.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, grant officials host informational meetings at the First National Bank of Cortez starting at 9 a.m. and at the Mancos Public Library starting at noon.<\/p>\n<p>Established in 1957, the Ballantine Family Fund provides financial assistance to non-profit, charitable, educational, literary, scientific or other causes that better the human condition. Proposals for projects in La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores, San Juan and Archuleta counties are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Past grants have ranged from $500 to $5,000.
