It will be by mail ballot.<\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have been living within Dolores town limits for at least one year.<\/p>\n<p>Pick up a nomination petition at town hall. Candidates are required to obtain 10 signatures from citizens who live in town and are registered to vote.<\/p>\n<p>Because there are five board seats open, individual citizens can sign no more than five nomination petitions.<\/p>\n<p>Because there is only one mayoral position, an individual citizen can only sign one nomination petition for mayor.<\/p>\n<p>Nomination petitions must be turned into town hall by Monday, Jan. 25 at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The election may be cancelled if the amount of candidates running does not exceed the positions available. In that case, the candidates would be awarded the seats.<\/p>\n<p>The open trustee seats are for three 4- year terms and two 2-year terms. The mayor position is for a 2-year term.<\/p>\n<p>The town board holds meetings twice a month. The regular meeting is the second Tuesday of each month, and the workshop meeting is the fourth Monday of the month.
