{"id":106726,"date":"2016-02-10T07:01:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T14:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/woman-dies-after-stabbing-on-ute-mountain-ute-reservation\/"},"modified":"2016-02-10T07:01:00","modified_gmt":"2016-02-10T14:01:00","slug":"woman-dies-after-stabbing-on-ute-mountain-ute-reservation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/woman-dies-after-stabbing-on-ute-mountain-ute-reservation\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman dies after stabbing on Ute Mountain Ute reservation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A fatal stabbing occurred at a residence on the Ute Mountain Ute reservation in the early morning hours of Feb. 8, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>Keisha Meya Colorow, 20, died of injuries sustained by stab wounds, according to the Montezuma County coroner. She was from Towaoc.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo arrests have been made, the investigation is ongoing,\u201d said Jeff Dorschner, public affairs officer for the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office. The incident is being investigated as a possible homicide by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation office in Durango.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the victim was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital early Monday morning but did not survive.<\/p>\n<p>Colorow enjoyed softball, volleyball and dancing, according to the Ertel Funeral Home obituary. Known as \u201cKeish,\u201d she also enjoyed participating in the Bear Dance and singing at Sun Dance.
