Lindemann was recently named \u201cInternational Brass Personality of the Year\u201d by the Brass Herald.<\/p>\n

He has played around the world, from the Philharmonics of New York, Los Angeles, London and Berlin to Tokyo and even the Great Wall of China.<\/p>\n

The Cortez concert is presented by the SouthWest Colorado Concert Association.<\/p>\n

Lindemann\u2019s career has ranged from appearing internationally as an orchestral soloist, recording with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, to playing lead trumpet with the renowned Canadian Brass and a solo command performance for the queen of England.<\/p>\n

A prodigious talent as a child, Lindemann began winning accolades as soloist with orchestras and festivals while still in his teens. Classically trained at the renowned Juilliard School in New York, he has the proven ability to perform in diverse situations from his solo work to this touring quartet.<\/p>\n

Lindemann has recorded for BMG, EMI, CBC and the BBC. Born in Germany, but now a resident of Los Angeles, he is internationally endorsed by the Yamaha Corporation and performs exclusively on 24K gold-plated trumpets.<\/p>\n

Heralded internationally as an outstanding artist, a New York Times critic stated, \u201cHe played with golden timbre and virtuosic flair,\u201d and the international Trumpet Guild reported that his recital \u201cwas one of the most memorable recitals in international Trumpet Guild history.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe trumpet is capable of being played with the virtuosity of a violin, the tenderness of the human voice and the stylistic flexibility of the piano,\u201d Lindemann said. \u201cIt allows me an endless range of communication with audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

This will be SouthWest\u2019s final concert of the year. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for season ticket holders, and adult tickets will be sold at the door for $20. Fifty free tickets will be available for youth.<\/p>\n
