In the next election, Thomas will need to run for the two-year term in order to continue on the board. Stramel chose not to stay in the election after it was canceled due to no running mates, so there was an open board position, said District Manager Tim Krebs.<\/p>\n<p>Board member Jim Candelaria also took the oath of office for his four-year term to the board. Board member Dylan Ferguson was absent from Monday\u2019s meeting, but will take the oath of office Wednesday for his four-year term, Krebs said.<\/p>\n<p>The board awarded a $545,096 contract to D&amp;L Construction for sewer work at the intersection of Ash Street and Arbecam Avenue The project involves laying 2,800 feet of sewer line, as well as new manholes and other maintenance work.<\/p>\n<p>Also Monday, the board authorized a $62,000 payment to Redpoint Contracting for that firm\u2019s continuing work on the Paradise Village subdivision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>is serving the remainder of former board member John Stramel\u2019s two-year term.
