Farmington Hill\u2019s raucous country swagger fits the bill for Saturday night, May 21, at the Dolores River Brewery.<\/p>\n

The alternative-country band with punk-rock influences have become a local fan favorite for their party attitude and solid performances.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur live shows are perfect for a beer-drinking good time on the dance floor,\u201d says Paul \u201cBubba\u201d Iudice. \u201cWe have a lot of fun playing together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their cheery, up-tempo style is modern rock, but with some \u201ccountry-fried twang,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s first album, \u201cBridge to Nowhere,\u201d is a local inside joke, referring to an infamous overpass south of Durango that has no road connection.<\/p>\n

Their just-released second album \u201cMore Rock than Eagle Block\u201d is a play on a mainstay concrete brick business, Eagle Block, at the top of Farmington Hill on Highway 550.<\/p>\n

The band has a mix of influences. Bubba hails from punk band Freeman Social, and lead guitarist Eric Nordstrom is from the rock band Lawn Chair Kings.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a wide range of musical interests, and practice a lot,\u201d Iudice says. \u201cWe\u2019re not trying to preach anything in our songs, we\u2019re just there to play hard and have fun with audience.\u201d<\/p>\n
