{"id":104751,"date":"2016-06-07T01:25:09","date_gmt":"2016-06-07T07:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/motorcyclist-killed-in-crash-is-identified\/"},"modified":"2016-06-07T01:25:09","modified_gmt":"2016-06-07T07:25:09","slug":"motorcyclist-killed-in-crash-is-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/motorcyclist-killed-in-crash-is-identified\/","title":{"rendered":"Motorcyclist killed in crash is identified"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><!-- gallery:5e99ad45-941e-4fbd-8cea-c6c77615d7af --><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video wp-block-embed-youtube naviga-video-embed\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6e_J4rjqTbg\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning in a three-vehicle crash that shut down the southbound lane on Colorado Highway 3 in Durango for about three hours.<\/p>\n<p>The motorcyclist, Tim Cooper, 52, was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center where he died, said La Plata County Coroner Jann Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper was stopped behind an F-150 pickup at a traffic light and waiting to turn left onto U.S. Highway 550\/160 from Highway 3 when they were hit from behind by a Toyota SUV, said Lt.
