Ike warned us against the \u201cmilitary-industrial complex.\u201d What a gallant-sounding title for something that means \u201cwar for profit.\u201d<\/p>\n

I\u2019m tired of hearing about soldiers being killed or maimed or having their brains so scrambled from the horrors of war that they never have another peaceful night\u2019s sleep.<\/p>\n

For profit. History will bear out, from at least Vietnam forward, that the leaders of this country, regardless of \u201cparty,\u201d have seemingly been incapable of telling the truth.<\/p>\n

How about if the politicians want to go to war in the Middle East, they spend some of their lobbyist \u201cperks,\u201d buy a plane ticket over there and punch someone in the nose themselves?<\/p>\n

For profit. Bring the soldiers home and tell Washington to go to hell. It\u2019s your country. They are the employees after all.<\/p>\n

Maybe if we can find a better way to boost the economy I\u2019ll lighten up a little.<\/p>\n
