It is a sign that fall is here,\u201d said Julie Malingowski, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction.<\/p>\n<p>The storm generated rain at lower elevations. In Cortez, .16 inch fell, and in Yellow Jacket .78 inch fell.<\/p>\n<p>In the next few days, temperatures in Cortez are expected to be in the upper 70s with no precipitation.
