Glen Edwards, the collision occurred as the driver of a southbound van on U.S. 160 merged onto southbound U.S. 491 and then attempted to make a right turn into the Keesee Motor Co. But in doing so, he crossed into the adjacent lane and collided with the front of a southbound semi coming from U.S. 491.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the van was issued a ticket for improper right turn and careless driving.<\/p>\n<p>The accident caused the West Y intersection to be closed for about an hour as the wreckage was cleared.
