\u201cLiving Threads: A Portrait of Cultural Diversity, Roots and Belonging Told through Cloth,\u201d will premiere at the Sunflower Theatre on Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and at the door.<\/p>\n

Eric Mindling, photographer and storyteller from Oaxaca, Mexico, will present his two-year photo-documentary of traditional dressways and the people who continue to wear the clothing of their communities, according to a news release.<\/p>\n

Mindling has lived in Oaxaca, Mexico, since 1992, photographing locals steeped in tradition.<\/p>\n

His award-winning book, \u201cOaxaca Stories in Cloth,\u201d contains the photographs and a \u201clove letter to a people and place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mindling will share stories alongside his photography and reflect on modern existence in contrast.<\/p>\n
