Tipton\u2019s House version eliminated deductions for classroom supplies. The Senate did add back $250. <\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Need to move for a job? Can\u2019t write off any of the moving costs now.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Paying alimony? Starting in 2019, that will not be deductible to you.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Imagine that we have some fires this summer. Sadly, if your house burns, you cannot  report a loss on your taxes unless it is a federally declared disaster. Same with theft and flooding losses.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Do you have  children you claim on your taxes? Guess what? That doubled standard deduction isn\u2019t really true. Tipton forgot to mention that personal exemptions are gone \u2013 $4,050 per person! This is less deduction with two dependents.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">If your child has unearned income, you will probably have to pay more tax on that.  <\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Schedule A deductions are still around, but since the standard deduction went up  it won\u2019t help you to itemize and use those deductions.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Oh, almost forgot. The lower tax brackets expire by 2027.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">The mandate for carrying health insurance is taken away starting next year. If we want health insurance, it might make it very expensive since we will  finance the uninsured.<\/em>How are our children going to deal with the debt that this tax plan has created?
