Empty snuff cans. Cigarette butts. Old wire from replaced fence lines and an occasional tire.<\/p>\n

This day I saw something that just tickled the heck out of me. Two big paper coffee cups from one of the \u201cfancy\u201d coffee houses.<\/p>\n

There they were, in all their \u201cmade from 100% recycled paper from Indonesia\u201d glory, on the roadside as trash.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll leave the coffee house nameless because it\u2019s not its fault that some of their customers are hillbillies. And I don\u2019t want to be the guy that sets off the three-day media frenzy about \u201cStardoodle\u2019s\u201d or \u201cDelaware Jacks\u2019\u201d involvement in a litter scandal.<\/p>\n

I can see it though \u2013 the county road lined with news vans from all the alphabet networks and the one named after the animal. Men and women all dressed in Eddie Bauer dungarees\u200b with serious looks on their faces, interviewing locals and \u201cexperts\u201d on litter.<\/p>\n

Statements read by well-dressed, serious looking spokespeople for the companies, stating that while \u201cshareholders are proud of the steady profit increases, as one, they abhor and say no to wanton littering of any kind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yep, I can see it. Then three days later they\u2019re all gone, off to the next catastrophe, leaving behind all their three-day trash for old Dunny and me to look at as we ride.<\/p>\n

As Sheryl Crow sings,\u201cIf it makes you happy, it can\u2019t be that bad \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
