Tom Nicoly helps to harvest about 6,000 pounds of potatoes Wednesday at Fence Line Orchards for the Good Food Collective. The potatoes harvested at Fence Line and eventually at two other locations will hopefully bring the total harvest to about 10,000 pounds. The potatoes will be stored in a cellar in Mancos and then distributed to people in need in La Plata and Montezuma counties throughout the winter. High Pine Produce is also part of the project.
