Panthers drop opener to Crested Butte

Montezuma-Cortez junior McKenzy Howerton maneuvers through midfield against Crested Butte Community School during Saturday’s season-opener at  Ignacio High School. Crested Butte took a 2-0 lead in the first half and held off a Panthers comeback in the second half to win, 3-2.
