Thomas Lindsay pulls a 205-pound dummy on the last leg of an obstacle course to qualify to be hired for the Cortez Fire Department. Ten candidates took the written, physical and then oral test to become eligible to be hired by the fire department. The physical test included climbing up the ladder truck, running with a water-charged hose, carrying chain saws and using a sledge hammer.
