Cowbelles scholarship raffle

In a photo taken Dec. 11 at the Ute Mountain Coffee Shop, Southwest Cowbelles secretary Bonnie Ellis hands Dennis Boon the Ruger 17 HMR that he won in a raffle held this fall. Proceeds from the raffle go to the Southwest Cowbelles Scholarship fund. High school seniors in Cortez, Dolores, Mancos and Dove Creek who plan a collegiate education in agriculture are encouraged to contact their school’s guidance counselor about applying for the scholarship.
