Bunny McComb, 2017 Cowbelle of the Year, announced Thursday that the Southwest Cowbelles have awarded three $1,000 scholarships to area high school graduates who plan to major in agriculture-related studies in college. They are Savannah Ayers, of Dove Creek; Kaylee Rose, of Mancos; and Dylan Long of Cortez. The Cowbelles raised money for the scholarships through various sales, donations and raffle tickets for the annual Cowbelles quilt, McComb said.
