Lances’ tenure on the board has been impeccable. No one has questioned his decisions or activities on the board. Why? Because there is nothing to question; he is a valuable and involved member.

What the petitioners have questioned is his personal beliefs. They feel that being “politically correct” is more important than doing a fine job for our school district. These small-minded petitioners don’t care for the progress made during McDaniels’ tenure, only that he does not have “right think” in his personal life.

Read the petition, if there is anything alluding to corruption or malfeasance, then give him the boot. There is not. So let those who would castigate any of us for our personal views learn that this will not cut it Cortez, Colorado, USA. Retain McDaniel.
