The 35th annual Totah Festival and Indian Market brought hundreds of people to downtown Farmington from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1 for a Labor Day weekend of art, music, culture and dancing at the Farmington Civic Center.

Totah Festival Gourd Dance Powwow kicked off Saturday morning with a performance by Joe Tohonnie Jr. and the White Mountain Apache Crown Dancers, and were followed with more than 20 dance categories ranging from Junior Girls to Golden Age Men.

Other highlights including the Navajo Rug Auction, market and Run the River 5K run at Berg Park.

The official poster was submitted by Lawrence Charley Jr. of Crownpoint and was titled “Hopi Eagle Sculpture.” ​ Previous posters are sold at the Farmington Museum, 3041. E. Main St.
