Mancos school district’s fifth graders will be hosting a pancake breakfast to honor local veterans on Veterans Day. The annual event was described as a way of “honoring our nation’s heroes” in an informational flier sent out by the district.

The breakfast will take place at Mount Outlook Grange, 680 Grand Ave. in Mancos, from 7:30 a.m. through 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11.

All local veterans and community members are welcome to eat and enjoy. Veterans will eat for free.

The students will be serving pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee and orange juice.
