Motorized bicycles on the bike trail from 32nd Street to Rotary Park are hitting well over 10 mph. If you want to ride a motorcycle, do what legions of people have and get a motorcycle license and ride in traffic on streets. Parents think their kid can’t ride on the streets with cars. Well, think about the civil and criminal liability they have for allowing the behavior anyway.

The trail speed is 10 miles per hour. Always avoid pedestrians, don’t threaten or harass people or dogs, wear a helmet and slow down.

Adults, show that you understand by riding slowly in crowds. Bike shops should teach common sense and bike laws. Trail etiquette is critical. Killing people on the trail should be a felony at any age.
