The Pretty in Pink fashion show had its best year yet, raising more than $35,000 and welcoming nearly 250 supporters,” said organizer Tiffani Randall.

The 14th annual event, held in October at Four Seasons Greenhouse & Nursery, benefited the Cancer Resource Alliance of Montezuma and Dolores counties.

The styles showcased during the evening were curated by Randall, owner of Love on a Hanger, and Lindsay Fresquez of Say Yes Bridal Boutique. Mona Makes catered the event, serving a three-course dinner of Alabama chicken or pulled pork, with garden salad, baked potato, sweet potato cornbread and dessert.

“Pretty in Pink has grown so much over the years that it’s amazing and humbling to see the community’s support for the Cancer Resource Alliance’s mission,” Randall said.

The Alliance has funded 111 applications this year, Randall said.

“It’s bittersweet, heartbreaking to hear about the diagnoses, but also so heartwarming to know that the event is truly helping those in our community facing hardship,” Randall said.

Along with the fashion show and dinner, attendees enjoyed styling tips and tutorials and participated in live and silent auctions.

Since 2011, the Pretty in Pink Fashion Show has donated more than $195,000 to the Cancer Resource Alliance, which has provided “financial assistance to hundreds of individuals in our community facing cancer-related expenses,” according to the Alliance’s website.

In 2024, the show raised $29,500, just shy of its $30,000 goal.

“The need continues to grow, with grant applications rising year after year. So far in 2025, requests for assistance have already exceeded those from all of 2024 – and thanks to your support, we’ve been able to help every applicant,” the website said.

This year’s show met its goal of $35,000 to continue helping residents battling cancer.

“I just want to add a thank you to the countless people and businesses that helped ensure the show became a success,” Randall said. “We are so fortunate to have the support and we hope every donor knows how much their contribution means to our board and the people we help.”
