Make bean soup mix at Durango Public Library

Join Nicole Clark, M.Ed., RDN, La Plata County Extension Family and Consumer Science specialist and county director, for “Gifts from the Pantry: Bean Soup Mix” from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 19 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

Participants will create a homemade dry bean soup mix, learn tips for cooking beans from scratch and discover ways to incorporate this low-cost ingredient into holiday meal planning.

Space is limited so preregistration is required.

All Durango Public Library programs are free and open to the public.
