The La Plata County Historic Preservation Review Commission will present the 2023 Historic Driving Tour of Vallecito at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Vallecito Lake Event Center, 17252 County Road 501.
The event will include several presentations by local historians and experts as well as a selection of self-guided driving tours and hikes in and around Vallecito Reservoir.
After the presentations, guests can participate in one of more driving or hiking tours including the Teelewahket Ranch, a tour of the chain saw carvings, a walking tour of the dam, visits to Lemon Reservoir and Transfer Park and Middle Mountain Road.
