The glean will harvest apples and pears from backyard fruit trees in Durango.
People are welcome to harvest fruit for themselves, and a portion of the produce will be donated to Durango Food Bank.
Those who attend should bring: sun and rain protection, water, closed-toe shoes, gardening gloves and bags to take fruit home.
Participants will meet at 4:30 p.m. in front of the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave., and carpool to locations in the city. Apple-themed mocktails will be offered before the glean at the Smiley Building.
