Durango School District, in partnership with the Early Childhood Council of La Plata County, will host a free three-part workshop series this fall for parents and guardians of children entering kindergarten in fall 2026.
The READY! for Kindergarten program is designed to help parents of 4- to 5-year-olds support early learning and school readiness at home. Each session offers age-appropriate strategies and take-home activities focused on language, literacy, math and social-emotional development.
Workshop dates are 5-7 p.m. Sept. 17; 5-7 p.m. Oct. 15; and 5-7 p.m. Nov. 19. All sessions will be held at Needham Elementary School, 2425 West Third Ave. Free child care and a light dinner will be provided.
