For elementary ages:
Mondays, 3:45-5 p.m.: Gamer Club. Celebrate all forms of gaming. Tabletop gaming, console video games, Roblox, Minecraft, Pokémon Go and even virtual reality. Computers are provided, but gamers can bring their own laptop or Switches if they prefer. This program is geared for grades three and older, but younger children are welcome to attend with a caregiver.
Tuesdays, 3:45-5 p.m.: After School Explorers. For kindergarten through second grade. Explore STEAM projects. Test how strong we can make paper towers, create tie-dye bags, and learn about symmetry through snowflakes. Every last Tuesday of the month will feature a special Lego challenge.
Thursdays, 3:45-5 p.m.: After School Explorers. For third through fifth grades. Make STEAM discoveries. Extract strawberry DNA, build robot puppets and construct spinning art machines. Every last Thursday of the month will feature a special Lego challenge.

Take and Make Kits:
Hoop Gliders: Hoop Gliders are examples of how aerodynamics can change and affect how something can fly. These easy-to-make gliders fly farther than a usual paper airplane and they are durable, making them a great, inexpensive winter toy. Available Feb. 1.
Chicken in a Cup: These hilarious toys make weird, chicken-like sounds when you pull their string. They can be further decorated and used in any situation where someone needs a chuckle. This kit fosters an understanding of the concepts of sound waves and the manipulation of such.

Beginning Feb. 15:
Wednesdays, 3:45-5 p.m.: Teen Lounge. Different pop-up activities in the teen area.
Fridays, 3:45-5 p.m.: Teen Lounge. Gaming with Oculus, XBox1, PlayStation 4s and assorted board games in the community room.
Program in a Bag Kits: These take-and-make kits contain information and materials to get you started on a new hobby or craft.
Chocolate Tasting: This kit includes a variety of chocolates to try and an introduction to the world of chocolate. Available Feb. 1.
Cookie Cutter Birdfeeders: Make a cute birdseed cutout to hang for the birds this winter. Available Feb. 15.
Beans, Good for the Budget and Body: This special kit accompanies the virtual program on Feb. 22 with Nicole Clark from the La Plata County Extension. The kit includes dried beans and a special spice mix. Available Feb. 15.
All you need is a yoga mat and a water bottle. Some yoga tools such as blocks, a blanket and a strap are encouraged. Cost is $10 for a single class, $45 for a five pass and $75 for a 10 pass. Checks can be made out to Bayfield Parks and Rec.
Mondays, 9-10 a.m.: Mostly Yin Yoga. Targets the connective tissue, which are the joints, bones and ligaments. We remain in many of the poses longer than in a traditional yoga class, which can be challenging for our body as well as our mind. The class may be slower paced, but it gives our mind time to quiet down, our breath to soften and our connective tissue to be stimulated. We will experience the balance between movement and stillness. Tools such as blocks and blankets are encouraged for this class. This class is accessible for all levels. Wednesdays, 8-9 a.m.: Yoga Flow. Yoga Flow lets us move dynamically from one posture to another. We create a meditative state with the flow and rhythm of our breath and the warming, lengthening and strengthening of our muscles in all the movements of our bodies.
Fridays, 10-11 a.m.: Yoga & Deep Relaxation. This free class consists of a gentle warm up, a mix of poses and deep stretches on the floor accompanied by a 10-minute deep relaxation to help relieve stress and to promote the body’s natural healing.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:15-9 a.m.: Full Body Fit. Free HIIT-style workout that uses just body weight and light hand weights. These classes are taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Follow @Body & Soul on Facebook for more details.
Saturdays, 10-11 a.m.: Strength and Alignment. This free class is designed to improve your overall strength and realign your body. We will work with weights and also body weight. The class also includes corrective exercises and activities to strengthen your core and increase flexibility and mobility. Bring a yoga mat, a water bottle and friends. All ages and fitness levels are welcome.
Feb. 15, 1-2:30 p.m.: Death Café. Pine River Library is one of many groups in 79 countries across the world that host Death Cafés, a time and place where people come to share food, drink tea or coffee, and discuss death openly and honestly. The aim is to increase awareness about death in order to help people make the most of their finite lives.
