The temporary access is located at the north end of Oxbow Park on Animas View Drive. Do not enter through the construction entrance.
Oxbow Park is currently an active construction zone. People should stay on the access trail to avoid construction personnel, equipment and activities. This temporary access may be periodically and unexpectedly closed for necessary construction activities. Oxbow Preserve remains closed indefinitely because of flooded and washed-out trails.
The public is encouraged to use the Animas River access locations at 32nd Street and 29th Street to avoid congestion at Oxbow Park. There is no public access to the Animas River via East 36th Street or Silverton Street. Trespassing across private property is unlawful.
