Joe Theine, CEO of Southwest Health System in Cortez, was presented the “Ed Morlan Economic Development Leader of the Year Award” by the Region 9 Economic Development District Board of Directors on Jan. 25.

The award is given to leaders who go beyond their paid roles and responsibilities to make a significant positive impact improving economic conditions.
