Kirstie Hillyer celebrated the Bayfield Wolverines’ Pink Digs for the Cure cancer benefit match against Ignacio on Tuesday night with 15 kills in 19 attempts, zero errors for a .789 hitting percentage, three blocks and an ace in a 3-0 sweep. “She is creating space for herself,” said BHS head coach Terene Foutz, the Pink Digs founder. “She’s jumping from 5 feet off net right now, and it’s giving her clearance, line of sight and the ability to attack angles.” BHS (14-3, 7-0 Intermountain League) will host Alamosa at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in its regular-season home and IML finale.
