The Fort Lewis College Department of Athletics announced Tuesday the resignation of Lohgan Bryant, assistant athletic director for internal operations and senior woman administrator, effective June 15.

Bryant served on the Fort Lewis Athletic Department senior leadership team. She managed the NCAA Division II compliance program, oversaw internal operations and NCAA and RMAC reporting, coordinated student-athlete welfare initiatives and academic success programs, and helped lead the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Bryant, a three-year member of the administration team, also served as a sport supervisor for volleyball, softball and cheerleading. As an advocate for student-athletes, Bryant worked ticket tables and hospitality areas and cheered from the stands during the majority of the Skyhawks’ home contests.

“I want to thank President (Tom) Stritikus, former Director of Athletics Brandon Leimbach, our coaches, student-athletes and the Fort Lewis College community for a great three years,” Bryant said. “I am grateful for the experiences I have gained during my time at Fort Lewis College, and I wish the athletic department and student-athletes nothing but the best moving forward.”

Director of Athletics Brandon Leimbach announced in March that he had accepted a position at the University of California, Irvine as executive director of development, athletics in university advancement. Leimbach is a native of Southern California, will begin his new role in early May 2022.
